A grateful American |
I just adore this Ciara stamp and sentiment from
Stampers Best. Ciara is one of my go to stamps for Any Hero cards. Sandy created an amazing coloring tutorial for her that you can check out on her blog
here. Y21 really does make all the difference in making her a real golden!

Loving both of these!! I love the Ciara card contrast- she really pops with the dark colors! And the horizontal dark panel on the eagle card makes that sentiment jump off the card - and the eagle's beak points right to it! Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThe Eagle card is so striking- your minimalist color scheme really makes a bold statement and catches your eye! I need to reconsider simple images like that and try a minimalist approach! Thanks for participating!
ReplyDeleteI like the distressed look on the Ciara card.
ReplyDeleteYour eagle is so majestic! Both cards are exceptional!
ReplyDeleteLove both of these! That sentiment set is so very nice. That's one of the prettiest uses of the eagle stamp that I have ever seen! The Ciara stamp is a difficult one for me to fussy cut. You did an awesome job... That looks so great!
ReplyDeleteI love your color choices on the Ciara card. She's my favorite.
ReplyDeleteThat dog is stinkin' adorable! Your eagle is so regal and beautiful. Great cards. :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous coloring...and Ciara perfectly coordinates with her background. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteI love how you've used the same sketch in each card but the results are so different. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteYour Eagle card is beautiful. I really love How simple the card is and how the Eagle really stand outs.
ReplyDeleteSamantha... love what you have made here. Especially the Eagle card.. which is my favorite StampersBest stamp. I see myself casing this card in the future. thanks for the inspiration. blessings ~ Pam

ReplyDeleteThe eagle and the sentiment are so perfect for each other! Great card. TFS.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your cards are just beautiful. Love the layouts and colors for them both. Your coloring of Ciara is perfect! (Thanks for the link for Sandy's tutorial!)
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards! Ciara is so cute, and I LOVE the clean crisp look of your eagle card!
ReplyDeleteThe great cards just keep on coming! Ciara is great (obviously the dog of the day today!) but the eagle is just outstanding. The card is clean looking and the sentiment suits the card.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing.

That little punch of yellow on the eagle's beak really makes that card stand out. Great work!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! I love the simplicity of them both!
ReplyDeleteI really like the CAS quality of both. The highlight around Ciara's head is really effective, and that eagle image tugs at my heart strings every time I see it. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteAwesome cards, Samantha! Your coloring is wonderful and I love the background colors you chose for the Ciara card. They really highlight the image so well! Beautiful layouts, too!!
ReplyDeleteYou did nail coloring the golden just right. I am adding her to my wish list.
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards! Especially love Ciara, the background solid circle really makes her pop and the little plaid is just like a guys roll up sleeve shirt! Great job!
ReplyDeleteI agree that the black background circle really make Ciara stand out. Nice touch! The Eagle card is a wonderful patriotic "Any Hero" card. The black layers give it a very dramatic feel.
ReplyDeleteSamantha... love what you have made here. Especially the Eagle card.. which is my favorite StampersBest stamp. I see myself casing this card in the future. thanks for the inspiration. blessings ~ Pam
ReplyDeletePerfect layout for Ciara with that black circle behind her it really pops and your coloring is great! I am almost ashamed to admit it but I don't think I've colored her more than once. I need to color a stack so I can turn them iinto a nice Any Hero card in a jiffy. I love the eagle too. I someitmes find that one hard to use but I too like it stamped simply in black and normaly color only the beak. I think that's proof enough that great minds think alike! :) Thank you to your family for your service Samantha.
ReplyDeleteI think I need to break down and buy that bald eagle stamp. I love the way it looks when colored.
ReplyDeleteYour eagle card is so majestic-- makes me extra proud to be an American! I have to pull out that stamp and use it-not just admire it! And thanks for the tip on Y21, Ciara is colored beautifully!
ReplyDeleteThe coloring on Ciara is beautifully done! I love seeing Cindy's pink camo Ciara and then your more masculine-colored card using the same image. Just goes to show how versatile a stamp set can be!
ReplyDeleteThe Eagle card is very striking!!! I agree, majestic is a good word (thanks Diane). radloffjen at cableone dot net
